Uncial script with Val Keevers

​The Uncial script is 8th Century Irish writing and is still used today in legal documents in Ireland. Created with a chisel pen, it is round with large lettering which is easy to accomplish. We will be using a modern version during the workshop which is suitable for anyone without any experience through to those who wish to sharpen up their skills.

Kit Required

• A4 or A3 sized paper (Reflex paper is fine) or calligraphic pad.
• Artline chisel pen size 4 or any large size calligraphy pens (Speedball, William Mitchell, Brause, Parallel pens).
• Ink or Watercolour or Gouache.
• Ruler, Pencil, eraser, tissues or paint rag.
• Small brush, and water jar.
