Online workshop

The Beautiful Alphabet is a workshop based on the study of manuscripts from the Library of Medicea Laurenziana, Florence, Italy, to contemporary calligraphy.

Students will have a choice of five manuscripts, studying and analysing the script, looking at rhythm, compression and size, at times breaking all the rules whilst respecting the form and characteristics of the hand.

Different techniques and tools will be demonstrated by Massimo for inspiration.
