Calligraphy: Tools Mania with Gemma Black

This two day workshop is designed to hone your skill level with all those wild and wonderful tools that you have bought over the years and left to sit in your tool kit without really exploring their possibilities.  From broad to round tipped, from triangular to square edge, from pointed to pipette and everything in between.

Day one will be structured experiments refining our use of the tools, and day two will be composition and layout - bringing some of those tools together in a spontaneous and responsive method. A variety of letterforms will be developed as a direct result of tools chosen.

Participant skill level - intermediate to advanced.
