RUNES and RUNIC Script

Runes are letters from the ancient Runic alphabets used by the Germanic peoples for writing, divination and magic. They are monoline, angular and were carved into wood or stone.
We will use pencil, monoline pen nibs and chisel nibs to create the Futhark variation which will give you another set of letterforms to enlarge your calligraphic knowledge and skills. They can be great fun if you have children or grandchildren as they can be magical and used as coded messages among their friends.
